Castiel never thought he would see the day that they were trapped like this under Lucife’rs orders. He felt sick. He WOULD follow Gabriel to the end. He knew that they were going to die, he knew that things had gotten from bad to worse. He had no idea what their Fait was but it terrified him. It wasn’t as though he were afraid of DYING, but well…he was afraid of dying. Who knew where they would go? He had rebelled against God. Something not even Gabriel had done. It was something that he never thought he would do, but he had done it. To help the Winchesters. Then he was brought back and things went….crazy from there. He had tried to help Sam and Dean as much as he could, but he didn’t even see them. He hadn’t seen them since he had been captured, and of course…he could only hope they were alive.
As Lucifer came up close to him Castiel stared at him. He was scared, terrified. He had never really been THIS close to his brother before. He almost despised his brother for everything he was doing to them. For what he was doing to Gabriel. “Perhaps you are right Lucifer,” Castiel said “Perhaps they DO believe that you are the savior now…” he said quietly. “Perhaps they believe that you are the one that set them free, but that won’t be forever…” he said softly. “I will follow Gabriel till the end…. I meant it…every word…” he whispered, “I…Gabriel and I are fighting for our freedom, something you can’t understand. I am not exactly…following his orders, I am listening to his leadership…” Castiel said. “He gives me suggestions and I follow….” Castiel knew Lucifer would only laugh at that.
Cas sighed as Lucifer continued to chastised him for following Gabriel. The thing was, Castiel would NOT admit it, but he was scared of freedom. What would they do once they received it? If it would come? It was something he wanted, but it was also something he knew that they would get used to. He knew that it was something they had to learn, something they had to feel. Something that their Father would let them fight for. SOMEONE had to take charge and lead. Even if it wasn’t direct orders, they HAD to have some sort of…. Normalcy in Heaven otherwise it would be Chaos.
Then Castiel heard what Lucifer said next. He was going to attack the Camp? Christine was there…his…son was there….Castiel could feel his stomach turn. Would Lucifer really do this? Hurt innocents just to get at them? Was that really fair? But then….Lucifer never really played fair, did he? As Lucifer gave his orders and a guard grabbed him Castiel stuggled. “No! No Lucifer you can’t!” he said kicking and screaming. He knew he was acting like a two year old, but he did not care. “My family is there!” he cried knowing that Lucifer wouldn’t care about that. If he did, he wouldn’t be doing this. He kicked his feet trying to get loose of the guard, “Please! Kill me instead! Don’t do this!” he pleaded must like Gabriel was pleading. He continued to struggle and the guards continued to try and hold him down. “NO!” he cried punching the guard as one of his arms got free. “Lucifer, NO!” he cried “Please!” tears were in his eyes, and he didn’t care. The guards finally grabbed him and held him down on the floor. One of the guards had his elbow in Cas’s back holding him down. It hurt, badly but Cas still struggled. “STOP!” he cried. “Stop it please!” he started to sob, in front of everyone, he was so exhausted he just lost it. He knew that was what Lucifer wanted and he hated himself for it. He looked down at the ground so he couldn’t see the laughter coming from the audience, and so Gabriel couldn’t see how pathetic he looked. He knew he let Gabriel down just now by acting like this. “Please…” he whispered so quietly that he could barely hear himself. He felt nauseous. He glanced at Gabriel who was also struggling. This time, he didn't hide his tears. He let them come. "Please..." he whispered once more. "My wife...my son..."

Lucifer had always been the angel that desired all the attention. It was unusual for an angel to be that way but most likely it had come from the way he was treated by his father. And of course it had also come from his brothers and sisters who considered him the most beautiful of all the angels. After his entire name did mean light bearer. His father loved him the most and Lucifer took it all in. One might say that he was the reason that Pride was born and later became a sin. His brothers and sisters practically adored him which was why when he questioned about the angels having to bow down to the humans he caused doubt to rear its ugly head in Heaven. If the angels had not showed such admiration for their brother then more than likely Michael could have simply spoken to Lucifer about his disagreement and it would have ended there. But because of Lucifer’s influence with his brothers and sisters along with the threat of a rebellion God had tossed him out. And of course when he created the first demon from a human probably didn’t help either.
It was definitely hard to believe that the two figures that were having a standoff in the city square were brothers and even more so that had been very close. One might say that Lucifer had been like a second father to Gabriel. Being the younger brother was definitely a disadvantage to Gabriel in that Michael treated him that way instead of an equal to him. However Lucifer had never done that but rather mentored him in many ways. He had been the one brother who had taught him about Enochian magic and some of its secrets. There was only one thing that he would never forgive Gabriel for and that was when he found out that he had told Christianne stories to keep her away from him. While in Heaven she was the one angel that he truly had feelings for and when he had been banished had lost her. It was only recently that he had found out about Gabriel’s deception concerning her. So it could be said that Lucifer’s revenge on his younger brother was for more than one reason. Not just because he was the one who stood in his way to control the Earth but because he had pushed away his lovely angel.
“Oh on the contrary, I can do whatever I want, little brother!” Lucifer called back toward him as Gabriel was being led away. “You should have thought more carefully about your words, little brother! To defy me in front of my subjects! It is not my fault that the camp supports you!” He then walked after Gabriel as the guards pushed him toward Executioner Square. “The love that I used to share for you is GONE, little brother. We are enemies now. And those that die now their blood shall be on YOUR hands NOT mine. As for your family? An archangel is not supposed to procreate with humans remember? The death of your family is your punishment and justice served.”
Lucifer’s words were very chilling just like his body temperature. Both Gabriel and Castiel’s words were falling on deaf ears. As far as he was concerned Gabriel was going to provide him with the means of showing an example of what would happen if anyone chose to go against him. There was a lot at stake right now and he could not let something stupid like love for his little brother to get in the way. Was the love from him completely gone? No but he was not about to admit that. Being responsible for the murder of his niece and nephew would hang over him but he had to look beyond that. He had to be strong and not across as being weak. It was in this way that he could regain both his power and the respect of his subjects once again. He followed behind the guards as they dragged both Gabriel and Castiel toward Executioner Square.
“Chain them,” He replied coldly before the guards went about restraining Gabriel and Castiel so that they could not move. Walking up to Gabriel he then looked back into his eyes before reaching forward and pulling out his archangel blade from underneath his coat. Taking it he placed it on his younger brother’s chest. “Does this scenario look familiar brother? Only this time….you shall NOT come back.” Turning toward the crowd which had now gathered he kept the archangel blade on Gabriel’s chest. “Hear me now, loyal subjects! With a single move of my hand I shall begin a new era! Heaven’s fate is now sealed with the death of its leader….the Archangel Gabriel!” He then applied more pressure to the archangel blade preparing to pierce Gabriel’s chest with it. “Farewell, little brother.”

When Christianne had been in Heaven she had been created during a time when the original archangel brothers were still together. It was before the humans had been created and Lucifer’s banishment to Hell. Of all the angels she had been particularly drawn to Lucifer who to her was just like a handsome prince. He never said anything but kind words to her and claimed that he only set his true attentions on her. One of the other archangel brothers apparently also favored her and that was Gabriel but she only saw him as a good friend and nothing else. Of course she understood that Lucifer was basically out of her league because he was an archangel and she was merely a regular angel but she didn’t care. When Lucifer began to question God’s order to bow down to the humans she had to admit that she did have some doubts about it too. However at the same time she did question Lucifer in how he had become so arrogant. And the day that he was banished from Heaven by Michael was one that she would never forget. Her beloved Prince had been taken away from her and there was nothing she could do.
The entire time that she had remained in Heaven, Lucifer had been on her mind. And with the sudden disappearance of Gabriel she really had no one to confide in. When Michael began to speak of how the Apocalypse must come about to bring true paradise on Earth she had spoken against it. To her the humans were not a threat and the angels had much to learn from them. Christianne was much like Lucifer in that she had influence over many of the angels and Michael saw that as a threat to his rule and so ripped her grace from her and tossed her to Earth. In his mind if she loved the humans so much then she could live her life as one. And so she had been born to a Christian family with no memory of her time as an angel. Then had come the day when the demons came to her home with intentions to kill her and had done to her family instead. That had changed her life forever. But even more so it changed on the day she went to visit her parent’s graves on the anniversary of their deaths.
That was when she had been visited by an angel named Castiel who told her that she was a fallen angel and was in danger. Of course she had questioned what he was at first but once her grace was returned to her all her memories came back of her time in Heaven. But instead of her given name Christianne she was now known by her mortal name, Christine. She had never known the pleasures of the flesh and for some reason felt like she could trust Castiel. Whether it was destiny or true love Castiel and Christine fell in love. Unfortunately when Christine regained her memories of her time as an angel it also brought something else from her past….Lucifer. And he had not forgotten his feelings toward her in Heaven which complicated things between her and Castiel. Using his powers of persuasion he slowly seduced Christine and placed his mark upon her to make her his bride. However he had not counted on Gabriel finding a way to release her from Lucifer which angered his older brother to no end. Christine explained that she had agreed to Lucifer to save Castiel from his vengeance.
The way to break the hold on Lucifer had been for Castiel and Christine to marry which was not a true sacrifice for either of them. It was shortly after this that Christine also discovered that she was indeed pregnant and eventually gave birth to a son which they named Aiden. He was their pride and joy as well as miracle since angels having children was highly likely. Aiden was raised with Gabriel’s children Sebastian and Adele. Castiel and Christine were with Gabriel when he was given the task of being leader of Heaven and were also a part of his royal court in Heaven. And when the time came for them to set out and establish their refugee camp she was there along with Castiel and Aiden. Just like Castiel she believed in Gabriel’s cause even if it went against Lucifer. But of course Lucifer was not the same archangel that she had fallen in love with while in Heaven. And part of her still feared that he might try and do something against either Castiel or their son. However for many years Lucifer had been quiet and that worried her because it meant that he was planning something.
When the day came for Castiel and Gabriel to leave for battle against Lucifer she had not shed a tear. She knew that she had to be strong for her husband and her dear friend. The truth was she didn’t want to see any of them get hurt or worse and that included Lucifer. However as they left she had an uneasy feeling that she could not shake but she refused to share with anyone. She simply remained in the camp with Aiden until the day came when she received news of Gabriel and Castiel being captured. At that moment she knew what she had to do. She left in the middle of the night leaving Aiden in the capable of hands of Cadence, Adele and the rest of the camp. It had to be done that way because she knew if she told them where she was going and what she was about to do they would try and talk her out of it. So she set off to Morningstar City dressed in a long hooded cloak to hide her identity. Arriving at the front gates she had found them open and headed inside. Following the crowd she blended in and watched the events unfold.
She remained quiet until Gabriel and Castiel were dragged toward Executioner Square. Her eyes could not believe what she was witnessing. What Lucifer was doing right now to Castiel and Gabriel showed just how twisted he had truly become. And as she saw Lucifer raise his hand preparing to kill Gabriel she knew that she could no longer be silent.
“No! Lucifer, stop!”

Castiel was trying not to panic but he couldn’t help it. The thought of Lucifer going to the camp and destroying his family and everything he cared about made him sick to his stomach. Christina and Aiden were the most important things in his life to him, and he couldn’t just sit back and do nothing and watch them die. Of course, he didn’t have much choice at the moment. Castiel looked up as Lucifer went straight to Gabriel and told him he could do what he wanted. It terrified Castiel because he knew that was the absolute truth. Castiel sighed and tried to fight off the guards as much as he could but he of course failed. His heart was pounding, if he had a heart it would have been, but even so his emotions were going rampid at the thought of everything.
Castiel remembered when he and Christine met, and he told her she was an angel. He meant it, literally, but when he first saw her, it was love at first site. He sighed remembering how he just couldn’t stop looking at her and made a fool of himself when he had. The thing was, Castiel was never involved with women or anything, and his brothers were always telling him he needed to get ‘laid’ or something. When he met Christine everything was different for him. His whole world changed, and he suddenly became very….human. They got married to break the hold Lucifer had on Christine, and gave birth to a son, Aiden. Aiden was everything to him. He loved his son so much, though he barely got to see him live. He was everything to Castiel. Their marriage was a little rough at first only because of what Christine and Lucifer had together previously, even though it wasn’t much, it always bothered Castiel that he had this ‘hold on her’. Still, they worked through it because Castiel was strong about it, and his love for her was stronger then his pain.
When he had to leave, he was devastated, but he knew that he had no choice. He HAD to stand behind Gabriel, and after all, they were together in this from the beginning. Castiel had given Christine a hug goodbye and he was trying to fight back his own tears. His emotions grew stronger each moment he was on Earth at the camp. He could feel himself becoming more and more human. As Aiden jumped into Castiel’s arms before he left Castiel held onto him for a few moments. “I love you both,” he whispered to them and then had taken off with Gabriel.
Now, Castiel was here, and Lucifer was about to destroy everything that mattered to him. “Please Lucifer, I will do ANYTHING,” Casitel said to him with a groan. He was trying to break free of the demons and chains holding him. He was fighting with all his might to get loose, but the demons proved him weaker. “Gabriel, Gabriel we have to get out of here!” Castiel was panicked. He knew he wasn’t making sense but he didn’t care. This was his family!
As he saw Lucifer grab the Archangel blade and bring it towards Gabriel Castiel cried out, “NO!” he yelled trying to break free of his hold. Now he was going to kill Gabriel? Gabriel was who he was clinging onto. If Gabriel died, ALL hope was lost. That’s when he heard it. He thought he was hallucinating for sure, but he heard her voice. Christine’s. If Cas had a heart, it would have jumped in his throat, he could have sworn Jimmy’s heart did.
“Christine, no!” Castiel cried. He tried breaking free from the chains, “No! Run! Go get Aiden! Go home!” Casitel was completely panicking and he knew what was going to happen, just by looking at her. Lucifer….he had a soft spot for her, even now. If she did what he thought she was thinking, then it would break Castiel’s heart and he would rather be dead. “Christine, please listen to me and take Aiden and go quickly!” Castiel said.
He fell to his knees as he was trying to stay calm but finding it very hard not to. “Please, please Father…” Castiel pleaded for God one more time. Of course, there was no answer. “Gabriel please do something, please stop her….” He whispered. He didn’t want to see Gabriel killed either. “Take me instead Lucifer!” Castiel cried.
